Why do I want to run for City Council?
Plain and simple, we need change. I am direct and blunt and not afraid to speak up for what is right. I cannot be bought by special interests and I believe in treating everyone with the same dignity, respect, and open ears. We don't need another politician, we need a real person that understands real issues of the everyday citizen and cares about making El Paso the best city it can be.

The majority of my life has been dedicated to public service. Running for this position is not just another "gig" I decided to do. It is something I am passionate about and want to be the voice of the people who feel they may have none. Instead of sitting back wishing there was something I could do to effectuate much needed change, I got up and put in my bid for City Council to actually make change.

I absolutely love my City, which is why I came back home after getting my doctorate degree. I want to share with the world how amazing our City is, but first we need to make it an affordable place for people to live and support our local businesses. We need to stop getting into more debt. We need to prioritize our budget to address our essential needs. This and so much more.

I have worked for the City from the other side, and instead of complain about issues, I want to take action to do my best and fix or change them. I have always been an advocate for justice and plan on continuing to do so.
